Jason Gearheart is a PTA with Columbus Regional Hospital. He is also a 2nd Dan in Ryu Kyu Kempo Karate. His other studies in Martial Arts include Tai Chi and Modern Arnis which he also teaches at Indiana University. We are pleased to have him running our Academy.

Karate is an art that teaches not only self-defense, but also engraves the importance of respect, responsibility, and self confidence on one's life.

Tai Chi is a Chinese callisthenic exercise for health and rejuvenation. When performed slowly, the postures become a deep physical and mental practice promoting fitness, centering, balance and general vitality. This ancient martial arts form is often referred to as "moving meditation."

Modern Arnis/Weapons Introducing an exciting addition to the martial arts at TLAC. We will be covering a variety of weapons from various countries, including stick, kama, bo staff, nunchucka, tai chi sword and sai. Emphasis will be placed on safety, control, respect and also covering the cultural aspects of each weapon.

Karate Seeds The little dragons in your life will learn discipline, coordination, life skills and basic karate skills in a fun, non-intimidating atmosphere. Classes are ongoing with no start or stop date.
